In 2020, Alligator Blood was named Queensland Thoroughbred Racehorse of the Year and QLD 3 Year Old Racehorse of the Year. Bred by Australian entrepreneur Gerry Harvey, Alligator Blood was sold at the 2018 Magic Millions sale (Lot 22) for A$55,000 to the Ezybonds No 1 Syndicate.
Alligator Blood was named by Allan Endresz (Managing Partner of the Ezybonds No 1 Syndicate). "Alligator Blood" is a term used in Poker which refers to a player who is "resilient, tenacious and never gives up".
